SEND Provision

Rugby School provides learning development support for students with learning difficulties and for those whose first language is not English. The school offers group and individual support, uses resources such as ClaroRead, Dragon voice recognition, and mind-mapping software, and provides regular INSET for teachers. It also supports English as a Foreign Language and IELTS preparation as part of its SEND provision.

Admissions Criteria

The main entry points are 13+ (boarding or day) and 16+. Overseas applicants should provide a UKiset report. For 16+ entry, applicants are assessed by entrance tests and interviews in November of Year 11, with offers conditioned on achieving required GCSE/IB or equivalent grades (including English and Maths). 13+ entry details include both boarding and day options, with further details on assessment and scholarships/Foundation Awards. Deadlines noted include 22 August 2025 for overseas candidates and 19 September 2025 for UK candidates. Scholarships and Foundation Awards are available for 16+ and 13+ entries.
