"At Vermont School we Belong, Believe and Achieve Together!"
Welcome from Interim Headteacher Louisa Paston emphasizing Vermont as a Thrive school; behaviour is viewed as communication; focus on safe, positive and holistic learning; strong partnerships with parents and external agencies; curriculum tailored via EHCPs; values of belonging, believing and achieving.
Vermont is a primary school for children aged 5-11. All children who join have an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) and SEMH as either a primary or secondary area of need. Southampton City Council is the admissions authority. To request a placement contact [email protected] or 02380 832 136. Decisions are made via Local Authority Admissions Panels between January and April for the next academic year. Priority is given to Southampton residents with EHCPs supported by the Southampton City Council SEND Team. If successful, families receive an Admissions Pack with transition details and open events for new parents. A copy of our admissions policy is on the policies page. Guidance for admission to Vermont School is provided in Guidance for Admissions.pdf.
