Two nursery rooms: Caterpillars (Age 2) and Butterflies (Age 3+) Indoor and outdoor spaces for the nursery and Reception children Short, focused PE sessions led by specialist teachers from the school

Curriculum Highlights

EYFS curriculum includes seven areas of learning and development; three prime areas (Personal, Social and Emotional Development; Communication and Language; Physical Development) and four specific areas (literacy, mathematics, understanding the world, expressive arts & design). Read Write Inc Phonics programme is used for early phonics. Nursery sessions include structured learning (listening games, daily number and maths activities) and big question sessions linking Understanding the World and Expressive Arts & Design. Short, focused PE sessions led by specialist PE teachers from the school.

Sessions are available from the end of the nursery / school day until 6pm

Financial Information

Nursery funding and fees: There are three nursery funding types (15 hours disadvantaged 2-year-olds; 30 hours for 2-4 year olds; 15 hours for all 3- to 4-year-olds, automatic). Hours outside funding entitlement: £4 per hour for ages 2 to 2 years 11 months; £3.50 per hour for ages 3 and over. Absences (sickness or holidays) do not cancel fees; sessions cannot be refunded or swapped; fees paid via Nursery Fees & Meals option. An online funding application can be submitted via Peterborough City Council's childcare funding page.
