Admissions Criteria

Lady Zia Wernher School admits pupils who are named in a Local Authority EHCP and whose needs the school can meet. Admissions are by referral from the Local Authority SENAT; placement is agreed after consultation with the Headteacher and LA. On rare occasions a placement may be made prior to finalising an EHCP following a request from SENAT. Transfers between key stages are considered in line with statutory obligations. Parents may appeal to the SEN and Disability Tribunal if a placement is not named or offered.
