Head Teacher's Message

Headteacher Mrs Lisa Kelly welcomes families to St Hugh’s Catholic Primary School, describing it as one of the largest in the area with around 650 pupils. She highlights a warm, welcoming and inclusive environment with a tradition of hard work, academic achievement, sporting success, productions and parish involvement. The core National Curriculum is enhanced through an extended curriculum including sporting opportunities, music tuition, drama, productions and school trips, and outcomes are well above national averages. The school serves the parish of St Hugh and St John, with Canon Chris Matthews integral to faith life. An Outstanding Denominational Inspection in 2019 was noted, and visitors are welcome to see the school in action.
