Broomwood’s SEND provision uses a graduated model: Tier 1 Ordinarily Available Inclusive Provision (OAIP) in every classroom; Tier 2 Targeted Adaptations and Interventions within the school; Tier 3 Specialist and Individualised Support with highly personalised provision. The school has on-site provisions: The Nurture Centre (specialist class focused on communication for EHCP pupils) and Relational Belonging & The Hub (trauma-informed space for Key Stage 2 with flexible access). A One Page Profile is used to outline support, Learning Plans for complex needs, regular termly reviews, and multi-agency collaboration (outside agencies and services). The SEND register is reviewed termly; progression is tracked via ADPR (Assess, Plan, Do, Review). The school emphasises that every teacher is a teacher of SEND and aims to remove barriers to learning through a tiered, needs-led approach, with involvement of parents and external services as needed.
