"Let Your Light Shine (Matthew 5:16)"
As a Church of England school, our Christian values of respect, kindness, aspiration and perseverance underpin everything that we do. We are welcomed by families from across our community, including those of different faiths and no faith, and St Matthew’s is also working to become a Peace Mala School and a UNICEF Gold Rights Respecting School.
Hello! Welcome to St Matthew’s CE Primary School. Our motto is Let your light shine. We are a small, thriving school with UNICEF Gold Rights Respecting status and Peace Mala work; there are spaces in Reception and Year 1 and tours are welcome.
Sports
Breakfast, after-school and holiday club based in the hub building on the school grounds. The club uses the hall and outdoor space and provides high quality childcare, including multi-sports, themed crafts, computer games and outdoor play for children aged 3-11. Ofsted (May 2023) rated the provision MET in all areas. The club has been awarded the Trafford Healthy Club Award and has a 5 star food hygiene rating.
St Matthew’s admits 30 children to our new Reception class each September and spaces may be offered in other year groups if available. As a voluntary controlled Church of England school, Trafford administers our admissions and you do not need to be a church member to apply.
