Head Teacher's Message

Headteacher James Wilkinson describes Victoria Park Junior School as providing an engaging, purposeful, knowledge-rich curriculum that motivates and inspires children to love learning and achieve together. The curriculum aims to build cultural capital, promote language and learner attitudes, and celebrate diversity, with core values of respect, equality, aspiration, responsibility, love and courage, all within a safe and stimulating environment.

Wraparound Care

Breakfast Club: Yes After-School Care: Yes

The Junior Hub provides Breakfast Club and After School Club. Breakfast Club runs Session: 7:30am – start of school (latest arrival 8:15am to ensure time to provide a breakfast). Short Session: 7:30am–8:00am before school sports clubs. After School Club runs Full Session: end of the school day until 5:45pm; Mini Session: end of the school day until 4:30pm; Short Session: following after school activities (e.g. sports clubs) until 5:45pm. The Hub has access to a range of spaces and resources within the school, including the Music Room, Art Room and Chill Zone, and uses outdoor space daily (outdoor learning zone). The Junior Hub team includes: Mrs. Hall (Hub Manager), Miss Card (Playworker), Miss Ellis (Playworker), Ms. Murray (Playworker), Mrs. Malik (Playworker).

Admissions Criteria

Victoria Park Junior School admits children aged 7 to 11 (Key Stage 2) for Year 3 to Year 6. Most children come from Victoria Park Infant School; external admissions are dealt with by Trafford Council Primary School Admissions. For inquiries, contact [email protected] or 0161 912 5007.

Financial Information

The cost of school dinners from September 2025 is £15.00 per week (£3.00 per meal). Dinners must be paid in advance via ParentPay. Free School Meals (FSM) eligibility and application details are available online at the cloudforedu Hamilton service (through the Trafford area).
