Curriculum Highlights

The school follows the National Curriculum for England, including English, mathematics, art, music, PE, computing, history, geography, science, design and technology (DT), modern foreign languages (MFL) and PSHE. Religious Education is taught through the JIGSAW RE programme and aligned to the Trafford LA Agreed Syllabus and SACRE guidelines. Weekly Achieve and Enrichment (A&E) afternoons in mixed-age groups. A curriculum enhanced by visits from places of worship and other resources to support learning. Digital literacy and critical thinking skills are emphasised to prepare pupils for an increasingly digital world. There are wide opportunities for visits and extracurricular activities in music, sport and the arts.

Wraparound Care

Moorlands Munchkidz BASC (Breakfast and After School Club) is available. The school provides a full registration pack (BASC Pupil Registration Form, Fees 2024-2025, Introduction to New Parents, Frequently Asked Questions, Privacy Policy 2024). Booking can be ad-hoc or regular for the whole term. An invoice is issued via email and the balance must be settled by the end of each half term.

SEND Provision

The Wellbeing Team runs a programme including Emotional Literacy Support Assistant (ELSA) support, with referrals usually via the class teacher. External providers include Place2Be and a children's psychological therapist. ELSA aims to remove barriers to learning and develop coping strategies, with a focus on emotional regulation and growth mindset.
