Headteacher Sarah Jones welcomes visitors to Worthington, highlighting a safe, open, diverse and inclusive community with a love of learning and a wide, engaging curriculum; the school motto is emphasised and parents are invited to arrange tours.

Worthington is served by two before/after-school clubs: Kids Collective (Breakfast Club and After School Club) and Alphabets. Kids Collective operates from a purpose-built setting and offers breakfast and a tea after school; Alphabets provides before- and after-school provision and is based in the large school hall with access to playground and outdoor space. SEND Provision

Worthington provides SEND support using the Assess, Plan, Do, Review cycle (Learning Plans). Support is delivered through Wave 1 inclusive quality first teaching, Wave 2 targeted provisions (e.g., small groups or 1:1), and Wave 3 SEN register if progress remains limited. The SENDCo ([email protected]) coordinates support, with Trafford Local Offer, SENDIASS, and other local SEND services available. A grant in 2024-2025 will fund a dedicated nurture room to support emotional wellbeing and targeted curriculum support. Annual reviews may be held as needed. Parents are encouraged to participate and contact staff regarding concerns.

Admissions Criteria

Worthington is a Community Primary School maintained by Trafford Local Authority. Trafford determines admissions based on its criteria with a Published Admissions Number of 60 pupils per year group. Reception 2026 application deadline is 15 January 2026. Group visits for Reception 2026 can be booked via the school office. In-year admissions are handled through Trafford, and nursery admissions have a separate process. Secondary school admissions are handled by Trafford.
