CUSP Art and Design Curriculum implemented with Unity Schools Partnership (CUSP) and described as ambitious and evidence-led Curriculum organized into blocks with vertical progression across disciplines (drawing, painting, printmaking, textiles, 3D and collage) and Working Artistically competencies Integrated Working Artistically development and key aspects of artistic growth to support teacher understanding of pupils’ development as artists Phonics sessions delivered daily using the Phonic Bug scheme; focus on Phase 2 and 3 in Reception with progression to Phase 4 if ready Maths learning through songs, games and manipulatives with Power Maths used in some sessions to support fluency EYFS foundation: Development Matters, baseline assessments, and transition planning to Year 1 Understanding of the World and Expressive Arts and Design as part of the wider curriculum with a topic-led approach High emphasis on reading through whole class reading and story time; reading books provided for home and access to online resources
