"Opportunity and Achievement"
Religious Education is based on the locally agreed syllabus; daily assemblies are of a broadly Christian nature.
Welcome to High Lawn Primary and Nursery School. The Head Teacher, Mr David Lane, describes the school as a place where staff work as a team to provide care and education, with the motto Opportunity and Achievement, and invites visitors to learn more and visit the school.
High Lawn Club provides before and after school care for term time and full-time care during school holidays.
Admissions follow the Bolton Council policy for community and voluntary-controlled primary schools. In oversubscribed situations, priority is given in order to: Looked After Children (Children in Public Care) including adopted children who were previously in care; other vulnerable children supported by the Assistant Director for Social Care (e.g., those with a Child Protection Plan or who have recently left care, those at risk of becoming looked after, those living in temporary accommodation due to fleeing violence); children with older siblings in the school; strong Church connections where the school is a Church school (proof of active worship is required); children with a medical condition supported by professional evidence showing attendance at this school would be better; proximity (shortest walking distance to the school) with tie-break by longer journey; for twins, places can exceed the admission number to accommodate each child. Nursery admissions have separate criteria including sibling link, date of application, and proximity; normally admitted in September and then as soon as they reach age 2 or 3, subject to spaces available.
