SEND Provision

West Kirby School and College provides on-site Clinical & Support Services (including Occupational Therapy, Speech and Language Therapy, Clinical Psychology, ELSA, Pastoral Care, Learning Support, Medical Team, Home School Liaison). It uses an internal referral system with a pupil support panel and offers IEPs that are monitored in partnership with staff, pupils and parents. The SEND information includes accreditation and training, with a holistic approach to supporting pupils' education and well-being.

Admissions Criteria

Admissions referrals usually come from Local Authority Education Departments and the school is used by around 20 Local Authorities; referrals can be received at any time during the year. Parents and carers can contact their Local Authority for local admissions arrangements, and there is an Admissions Policy with an Admissions Officer (Mrs J Gooding).
