Curriculum Highlights

Curriculum is organized around Preparing for Adulthood (PfA) with four delivery areas: Independent Living, Education & Employment, Community & Relationships, Health & Well-being Use of Little Wandle Phonics programme (including SEND Phonics) and emphasis on communication and literacy Introduction of routes through school: Experience for Life, Choices for Life and Independence for Life Structured Teaching approaches (e.g., TEACCH) in some classes to support learning Duke of Edinburgh Award available in Year 10/11 and preparation for adulthood across the curriculum Outdoor and community-based learning (Forest School, Out & About, visits to local parks)

Admissions Criteria

Admissions are decided in partnership with Dudley’s SEN team; the school currently has 174 pupils and is oversubscribed. Visits are limited (no visits unless you have a child in Nursery Provision or Year 11). EYFS and Post 16 are the only year groups for which places are offered. PAN is 117 with 174 on roll; places for 2026-2027 are limited and decided in collaboration with the SEN team. For more details, refer to the Admissions Policy.
