Sutton School provides a triangulated SEND support model with internal resources (Safe and Wellbeing Hub, SENCo, Speech and Language, Soundswell, Lucy Bates Occupational Therapy) and external agencies (CIPS, NHS Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy, Dudley Educational Psychology Services, CAMHS, Connexions) to assess, plan, implement and review pupil needs. Annual EHCP reviews are conducted with consultation with parents and guardians.

Admissions Criteria

A pupil with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) is awarded a place at Sutton School through Dudley Local Authority’s SEND Placements Team. A place is typically allocated when an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) identifies Sutton School’s specialist provision as the most appropriate setting. Tours are paused due to increasing pupil numbers and capacity; tours will only be offered after a Local Authority SEND Placement Team confirms a place.
