Curriculum Highlights

Curriculum based on the Primary National Curriculum with enhancements to prepare pupils for public examinations and life beyond school. Progression maps reflect key learning and the challenge of the curriculum. The Maths Curriculum is based on the National Curriculum with enhancements; Year 6 aims to equip pupils with the skills for 11+ success. The English curriculum emphasises reading, writing, and spoken language; includes 'Power of Reading' programme, author visits, and Shakespeare workshops. The Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum is followed from birth to five, with seven areas of learning including Prime Areas (Personal, Social and Emotional Development; Communication and Language; Physical Development) and Specific Areas (Mathematics; Literacy; Understanding of the World; Art and design). Extra-curricular and enrichment activities after school starting around 4:00pm, typically around 10 lessons per term; some subsidised by the school. Enrichment includes Wellbeing, Forest School, Residential Trips, Cicero Cup, Votes for Schools, Junior Leadership Team, Musical Projects, British Values, Eco Club, School Travel Plan. Subject offerings across KS1 and KS2 include English, Mathematics, Science, Computing, History, Geography, Music, Art & DT, Religious Education, Languages (French), PSHE.

Admissions Criteria

To apply for a place you must register your child. There is a non-refundable registration fee of £60 inc VAT for each child. Any child attending one of our nurseries has automatic entrance to our school. The deposit is retained until the child leaves and is refunded when the child leaves providing that the relevant notice has been given prior to the child leaving and that no additional payments or fees are outstanding. The deposit is non refundable if the place has been accepted and the child does not attend.

Financial Information

Scholarships: Available

All fees are inclusive of full day care and food. Hours daily are from 7:30am – 6:30pm Monday to Friday. Fees are paid weekly, monthly or termly in advance, preferably by standing order. Fees are payable all year round including Bank Holidays and one week at Christmas when we are closed. Refunds or deductions cannot be made if a child is ill, or on holiday or for any other reason. We reserve the right to alter fees with at least one month's notice.
