Bilingual curriculum with equal emphasis on BSL and English, delivered in BSL by staff fluent in both languages National Deaf Studies Curriculum taught by Deaf Instructors to develop Deaf identities and knowledge about Deaf History, Culture and Community Multi-sensory, differentiated learning using visual, kinaesthetic and (where appropriate) auditory resources All pupils have their own iPads and use Seesaw for learning and home–school communication Literacy Toolkit used to bridge between BSL and English with colour-coding and scaffolding Visual Phonics by Hand to support phonological awareness, reading, writing and spelling Daily guided reading and spelling practice via Seesaw CPA (concrete, pictorial, abstract) approach in Maths with diverse resources Technology integrated across learning; Arbor for attendance/behaviour and MyConcern for safeguarding Five curriculum strands: Early Years/Foundation Stage; Key Stages 1 & 2; BSL; Deaf Studies; PE/Sports & Swimming; Religious Education; Collective Worship; Relationships and Sex Education Collaboration with Speech and Language Therapists, Occupational Therapists and Physiotherapists for pupil-specific EHCP needs
