"Jesus at the Heart of all that we do"
We support and build on our Catholic faith which will be affirmed through meaningful and relevant prayer and liturgy experiences appropriate to the age and understanding of the children. We offer a wide range of spiritual, intellectual, moral, physical, aesthetic, emotional and social activities which will develop respectful, loving, confident, well balanced individuals, who are enabled to reach their full potential. We ensure that every member of our school has respect for self, others, all living things and their environment. We build on the Christian foundations already established, in partnership with the home and parish. We ensure that each child is offered a broad, balanced, and relevant education with equality of access to the Foundation Stage and the National Curriculum. We welcome every visitor to our school and every member of our community will have a sense of belonging and pride and act as ambassadors for our school. Our Catholic life is shaped by our Mission and is supported by parish links, chaplaincy and regular liturgy.
Headteacher Mrs Somes welcomes visitors and describes Sacred Heart as a welcoming, vibrant, multicultural, and wholly inclusive community with Christ and the children at the centre. The message highlights a mission of Jesus at the heart of all we do, a diverse and engaging curriculum, and a commitment to dignity, respect and care for every member, including families from all faiths.
