Head Teacher's Message

Welcome from the Headteacher. The Blue Coat School, Basingstoke has joined the South Farnham Educational Trust and aims to provide the best possible school experience; the Headteacher is excited to work with staff and students.

Curriculum Highlights

KS3 Curriculum includes English, maths, science, a modern foreign language, history, geography, design technology, art, music, physical education, religious studies, computing (Year 8/9), PSHE and drama; Year 7 is complemented by Cultural Studies and Journalism; Year 8 has Global Studies; Year 9 has dedicated STEM lessons. KS4 Curriculum includes English Language, English Literature, Maths and Science (either separate or double); History, Geography, MFL or computing; three options from GCSEs in Media Studies, Design Technology, Art & Design, Drama, Music, BTECs in PE, Health & Beauty, Health & Social Care, ICT, Business; PSHE with RE; some students access vocational courses with BCoT or bespoke curriculum choices.
