Kings Oak Primary follows Barnsley Local Authority's coordinated admission arrangements. Admissions decisions are made by Barnsley Metropolitan Borough Council. The LA uses criteria in the following order: Children in Public Care; Children with a statement of Special Educational Needs; Children who have brothers and/or sisters attending the school; distance between home and school measured in a straight line. If over-subscribed, the LA applies the published criteria and parents may appeal.
