"Each child matters"
BMJS is a Methodist school with strong links to the Methodist Church. The school does not seek to impose the Christian faith on pupils. Assemblies are essentially Christian in nature and led weekly by the Methodist Minister and other Christian leaders. The school fosters links with the Methodist Church and celebrates Harvest, Christmas, Easter and the end of year Leavers’ Service in the church in Bakewell. The school promotes Christian values such as love, joy, peace, forgiveness, reconciliation, justice and respect, and encourages pupils to think of others and reflect on what they learn.
Headteacher Sarah Owens welcomes visitors and invites you to come and view the school to see what it offers for your child.
