Admissions Criteria

The admissions authority for St Matthew's is the Leeds Diocesan Learning Trust; the admissions process is managed by Leeds City Council as part of the Local Authority's coordinated scheme. Children start school in the academic year following their fourth birthday. Applications open in November and close in January each year, and offers are made in April. Deadline for applications for September 2026 is 15 January 2026; National Offer Day is 16 April 2026. A Supplementary Information Form (SIF) is available for faith-based admissions. In-Year Admissions are handled via the Leeds in-year admissions page; if a place is available the school will contact you to arrange a transition meeting and start date.
