SEND Provision

Resource Provision caters for children from Reception to Year 6 who have a diagnosis of autism and an EHCP with St Joseph's named. It is a 10-place setting and is currently over-subscribed. The provision has a dedicated room described as beautiful, light and well-resourced, staffed by 1 experienced teacher and 4 teaching assistants. The curriculum is tailored to individual needs, combining National Curriculum with specialised curricula such as AET standards and Cherry Garden. Timetables are split between mainstream and Resource provision, with children joining mainstream classes for PE and Forest School and other sessions as needed.

Admissions Criteria

Looked after and previously looked after children; Baptised Catholic children resident in the parish of St Joseph’s; Baptised Catholic children who have attended St Joseph’s Nursery; Baptised Catholic children from other parishes; Children who have attended St Joseph’s Nursery; Children with special medical or social circumstances for whom this school is deemed most appropriate; Catechumens and members of an Eastern Christian Church; Children of other Christian denominations; Children of other faiths whose membership is evidenced by a religious leader; Any other children whose parents wish them to have a Catholic Education. If there are no places, the child will be added to the waiting list with outcomes notified by Cheshire West and Chester within 10-15 school days; right to appeal.
