Welcome to Aston by Sutton Primary School. The headteacher emphasizes a smaller rural school with a family ethos, values of respect, inspiration and achievement, and a commitment to tailoring the curriculum to each class, along with strong home–school links.

SEND Provision

The SEND code of practice identifies 4 main areas of need: Cognition and learning; Communication and interaction; Social, emotional and mental health; Physical/ and or sensory needs. Aston provides support in all 4 areas and tracks pupils with SEN through regular SEN overviews and assessments; the SENDCo is Miss Helen Platt; additional funding/top‑ups may be applied for to support individual pupils; staff plan lessons and use targeted resources to meet needs.

Reception admissions apply to children who will be five between 1 September 2025 and 31 August 2026; the application period runs 1 September 2025 to 15 January 2026; Cheshire West & Chester residents should apply online via the council; contact the authority for a Starting School information booklet; in-year transfers process is available; Halton residents have a different admissions link; information for Wales, Scotland, Ireland or abroad is available via the local authority.
