"With determination, we can achieve any goal"
Boxgrove Primary School is a happy, diverse, values-based learning community in the Royal Borough of Greenwich. It emphasizes a supportive, friendly and nurturing environment with high aspirations for all pupils, a strong curriculum, and a wide range of opportunities inside and outside the classroom. The school motto is 'With determination, we can achieve any goal.' The school advocates for student well-being, creativity and lifelong learning, and notes that Ofsted judged it as Good in all areas.
Boxgrove DSP is a Royal Borough of Greenwich Designated Special Provision for children with a diagnosis of Autism. Admissions are decided by the Local Authority panel and criteria include: clear medical diagnosis of Autism, primary need clearly Autism, ability to verbally communicate without full reliance on communication aids (though SALT support may be used), and the child’s ability to potentially manage some time in a mainstream class. The DSP focuses on individualised planning, collaborative work between the Lead Teacher, SENCo and other professionals (including Willow Dene when planning and tailoring the curriculum), and enables opportunities for learning both inside and outside the classroom (including weekly park visits and Forest School). Pupils are involved in formulating long-term goals and there is strong emphasis on home–school partnership and regular consultation with staff.
Primary admissions are processed through Royal Borough of Greenwich. First priority goes to children with an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) naming Boxgrove. After this, admissions follow the borough’s priority order. For in-year admissions, the same policy applies. Nursery admissions offer 26 morning and 26 afternoon places. If a place is not offered, there is a right to appeal using Royal Borough of Greenwich procedures.
