SEND Provision

Lea Manor High School provides support for pupils with Special Educational Needs, including Maple – a specialist provision for Social Communication Difficulties or Autism with EHCPs; uses the Luton Graduated Approach (Assess, Plan, Do, Review); Local Offer information is provided; SEN support plans (IBP/PSP) are used and reviewed annually where appropriate.

Admissions Criteria

Admissions follow the local authority process. Priority is given to (1) Looked after children or those who were looked after and placed for adoption, (2) pupils with permanent residence in the current local authority catchment area whose parents have expressed a written preference, (3) siblings of pupils at Lea Manor High School, (4) pupils with medical grounds supported by medical evidence; (5) any other applicant. If number of places reaches 240, distance from home to school is used as a tie-break. Waiting lists are held until 31 July 2026. Appeals follow the School Admissions Code with independent panels; appeal forms are available from the council or via admissions appeals email/phone.
