Clubs
The Beacon and the Lighthouse is an Additionally Resourced Provision (ARP) for children with a diagnosis of Autism or on the Neuro-Development Pathway. It is run and managed by St Helen’s Primary School staff, with funding and support from Hartlepool Local Authority. The curriculum is adapted to support children with autism, including a sensory room/Snug, two main teaching spaces for play-based and formal learning, and a KS1 Hall used for Sensory Circuits. Staff include ARP Lead/Teacher, ARP Teacher, and Teaching Assistants. The provision aims to deliver a broad, balanced curriculum and to support social and emotional needs while enabling contact with peers where possible.
