Head Teacher's Message

A warm welcome from the staff, governors and students. Soar Valley College is described as a highly successful school with a distinctive character and ethos, pride in the quality of education, and high expectations. The motto Aspire, Enjoy, Achieve encapsulates the aim that every learner is supported to do their best and be their best, with a focus on helping students reach their potential and prepare for the next stage in life.

SEND Provision

Pupil premium is ‘additional’ funding to schools based on the number of disadvantaged pupils who qualify for a Free School Meal (FSM) and who are Looked After (LAC). The intention is that all students, regardless of their background or the challenges they face, make at least good progress and are equipped with the knowledge and skills they need for the next stage of their education and life. Soar Valley College uses a range of strategies to improve attainment and progress for targeted students, with high-quality teaching and strong pastoral care, and continually reviews practice to remove barriers to success. The impact of the strategies is encouraging, with disadvantaged students performing very well and attainment and progress for disadvantaged students above national figures.
