Ethos & Values

"LEARN | LOVE | THRIVE"

Spiritual Togetherness Ambitious and Aspirational Resilient Self-belief

The Catholic ethos is central to the school. Religious Education is a core subject, with the Bishops requiring 10% of taught time for RE (2 hours 15 minutes at Foundation Stage and Key Stage 1 and 2 hours 30 minutes at Key Stage 2). The RE curriculum is delivered through 'Come and See'. The school promotes Gospel values through Catholic teaching, prayer, liturgy and worship, and engages in liturgical life and faith activities such as Mini Vinnies; there is a focus on prayer and liturgy throughout the day and year. The Diocesan inspection highlighted the outstanding Catholic Life and worship of the school, with strong leadership and pupil involvement in faith activities.
