Admissions Criteria

Admissions are controlled by the local authority (Bury Council). The Published Admission Number (PAN) for 2025/26 and 2026/27 is 15. In oversubscription, priority is given to Looked After Children and previously looked after children, then to children with an older sibling in the school, and then to other applicants. If there are more applicants than places, distance from home to school is used as the tiebreaker using Local Authority distance measurements. In cases where two or more children live at the same distance (e.g., same block), random allocation is used. Applications after the closing date are treated as late; initial decisions may be appealed to the Local Authority.
