"Building Community, Inspiring Learning"
Executive Headteacher Sean McKeown welcomes visitors to Silverwood, describes it as a Values Based Education (VBE) school, and invites families and professionals to learn about and visit the school, emphasising inclusive, high‑quality education across 4–19.
A pupil may be considered for a place at Silverwood School if they are aged 3 to 19 years old, have an EHCP, and may have profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD), severe and/or complex cognition and learning needs (SLD/MLD), severe or complex Autistic Spectrum needs (AS), or other diagnoses or needs that make it incompatible with mainstream provision. All reasonable steps and adjustments should have been made to meet the pupil’s needs in the prior educational setting or through the EHCP naming Silverwood. Learning levels and curriculum needs can be accommodated in a specialist school. The Local Authority (LA) will approach the school for an assessment placement. The school operates across Rowde, Chippenham and Trowbridge campuses with associated capacity across sites.
