Head Teacher's Message

Welcome to Addington Valley Academy. The Principal, Mr John Reilly, introduces AVA as a new co-educational Special Free School in Croydon for children and young people with autism and learning difficulties; AVA has 150 places for ages 2-19.

Curriculum Highlights

Four pillars: Well-being, Communication, Independence, Achievement Staff have completed training in TEACCH, Attention Autism, PECs, Team Teach, Makaton and other specialist approaches.

SEND Provision

A significant proportion of students who attend Addington Valley Academy will be required to engage with a programme of therapeutic support.
