SEND Provision

Sheep Dip Lane Academy has a specialised SEND team including a Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Co-ordinator (SENDCo) and Inclusion Manager, with many SEND Support Assistants. All class teachers support children with additional needs in their classes. Training includes sensory circuits, Thrive bereavement support, Thrive, Lunchtime Thrive squad, Team Teach, Occupational therapy, Speech therapy, Physiotherapy, and Moving and handling. The school works in partnership with external agencies including Behaviour Outreach Support Service (BOSS), Speech and Language Therapists, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, CAMHS, Educational Psychology, School Nursing Teams, Visual Impairment Teams, ASD Teams and Hearing Impairment Teams. If a child has SEND, the school will discuss with parents/carers to plan support, and information and resources can be found via the Doncaster SEND Local Offer and parent guides.
