"Holland Park Perfect"
Through high quality teaching, a broad and balanced curriculum and an inclusive approach to pastoral support, every child at Holland Park is given the opportunities and experiences to ensure they are prepared for each step of their educational journey and beyond. All members of the Holland Park family strive to go ‘above and beyond’ in order to make sure that ‘Holland Park Perfect’ permeates across all aspects of the local community.
The Inclusion Team provides pastoral support for pupils and families, including: morning nurture for pupils struggling to come in to school; lunchtime drop-ins for young carers; afternoon nurture sessions run by Nurture UK practitioners; ELSA therapy sessions; wellbeing and emotional support through programmes such as the Incredible Five Point Scale/Zones of Regulation; referrals to external agencies (e.g., CAMHS, WARMs); on-site specialist support (e.g., Child & Family Well Being Service, CAMHS, IP); Wellbeing Hub; forest schools nurture groups; WARMS workshops for children and parents; and signposting to outside services. There are also designated staff such as Family Liaison, Learning Mentor and an on-site Student Social Worker to support pupils and families.
Oversubscription criteria (in this order): 1) Looked after children and previously looked after children (including those who have been in state care outside England and ceased to be in state care as a result of being adopted); 2) Children with a sibling attending the school who will still be on roll at the date of admission; 3) Children who reside within the Priority Admission Area; 4) Children of staff at Holland Park Primary School. Within each criterion, proximity of the home to the school is considered, with nearer homes given higher priority. There is no priority for children living in the priority admission area if places are oversubscribed for the Chase Nursery.
