Welcome to Hamilton Primary School. Our Headteacher is Nick Hutchings. The school was built in 1914 and has been a central part of the local community. The Headteacher states that the school aims to help children achieve their potential and prepares them for life in the 21st century.
We currently have 41 pupils on our SEND register. All staff are fully aware of each child's needs and many have received training to support them. Each child on our SEND register will have a One Plan identifying targeted support. These are reviewed throughout the school year. We have close links with local SENCos, the specialist teacher team, Speech and Language and Educational Psychology services. We currently support children with ASD, Speech and Language difficulties, ADHD, Hearing Impairment, social and emotional needs and general Learning Difficulties. The SEND Policy is reviewed regularly by the SENCo and Governors. Mrs Arnold is the school SENCo, and she can be contacted through the school office or emailing [email protected]
Essex County Council controls the admissions to Hamilton Primary School. Information on how the arrangements work can be found on the Essex County Council website. Phone: 0345 603 2200. See also the School prospectus section for admissions arrangements.
