The Pupil Premium Grant is allocated to support any pupil or group the school has legitimately identified as being socially disadvantaged and underachieving. Interventions for each pupil are decided on an individual needs led basis, with the aim of accelerating progress and helping pupils achieve at least age-related expectations in English and Maths. The funding is also used to support more able pupils who are socially disadvantaged, and parents are involved early through workshops and consultations.
Ashbrook follows Milton Keynes Council admissions criteria. Priority is given to children with an EHCP, Looked After Children, and those living in the defined area with a sibling on roll. Other factors include children living in the defined area, children living outside the defined area with a sibling on roll, and children of staff. If oversubscribed, places are allocated in distance order from the school main entrance. The authority coordinates reception applications; late applications are processed separately.
