Bronte Girls’ Academy has an integrated approach to meeting the special educational needs of all students. The SENCO is Mrs S Akhtar, and can be contacted via email. The academy uses an Assess, Plan, Do, Review approach to intervention and has a graduated response to SEMH and Literacy to ensure students' needs are met at their level. Information about children with SEND is shared across the Academy for appropriate learning targets. Resources and external support agencies are accessed as needed. Policies and information include SEND Policy, SEND Local Offer, SEND Information Report 2024-2025, and SEND Complaints. NHS MHST and 1:1 counselling services are available through in-house and external providers. Safeguarding and partnerships with agencies (e.g., Toot Toot, Think for the Future) are in place to support wellbeing and inclusion.
The academy is part of the Local Authority’s Coordinated Admission Arrangements (CAF) and uses the City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council admissions system.
