SEND Provision

Upwood Primary Academy has very carefully planned provision for pupils with SEND, following the Local Authority admissions policy for all pupils including pupils with SEND. Miss Leach is the Special Needs Co-ordinator (SENDCo). We are committed to inclusive practice and removing the barriers to learning which children with SEND can experience. High quality teaching that is differentiated and personalised will meet the individual needs of the majority of children, but we recognise that children with SEND may need educational provision that is additional to or different from this.
