Welcome to our Pennine View school website – we hope you will enjoy your visit and gain a greater understanding of the teaching and learning at our school. Pennine View School is committed to and passionate about the learning and progress of all our pupils. Staff and Governors have high aspirations, and we aim to provide a high-quality, relevant and balanced education for all our pupils that focusses on individual, personal and academic achievement. The school serves 169 pupils and emphasises transition and a well-developed curriculum to support learners from Year 3 through Year 11.

Admissions Criteria

Pennine View School has an agreed admission number of 120 pupils/students and will admit a pupil who has been formally assessed as having a moderate learning difficulty and where the school is named in their Education Health and Care Plan (EHCP). The age range of pupils is 7-16 years, with places allocated as follows: KS2 (7-11yrs) 25 places; KS3 (11-14yrs) 52 places; KS4 (14-16yrs) 41 places. Prior to naming the school in the EHCP, the Local Authority will have fully consulted with the school in line with statutory obligations. The school will provide the Local Authority with the school profile outlining the needs for pupils they are best positioned to meet and details about the organisation of the school and curriculum offered.
