The Orchard is housed in a secure area of the school with its own entrance and two outdoor spaces. Two classrooms (Olive and Mulberry Class). A shared learning space. Toilets with changing facilities. A sensory room. Step-free access to the building. A large part of the outdoor space is sloped.

Admissions Criteria

The Orchard Local Authority Resource Provision (LARP) admissions criteria: Age 4-11 (Reception to Year 6); Have a primary diagnosis of Autism with the context of Severe Learning Difficulties; Almost all children have an EHCP, though some may be admitted on assessment/place within the Needs Assessment process; Children will have highly complex needs and require highly specialist Autism interventions; The provision requires a high staff/pupil ratio and an integrated plan including interventions designed by SALT and OT.
