Priority order for placement: (1) Looked after children or previously looked after children; (2) Pupils living in the priority admissions area with a sibling at Thorpedene; (3) Pupils living in the priority admissions area; (4) Pupils living outside the priority admissions area with a sibling; (5) Pupils living outside the priority admissions area with those living closest by straight-line distance. Looked after and previously looked after children have the highest priority. SEN/EHCP: pupils with statements or EHC plans named at this school are admitted; others with SEN are treated equally with reasonable adjustments. Appeals: independent Admissions Appeals Committee via Southend Council if unsatisfied with an outcome.
