Curriculum Highlights

Nurture-based approach tailored for SEMH needs; not a mainstream school. Personalised Aspiration Maps created from EHCPs to guide yearly planning. Key Stage 2 uses a play-based, thematic approach with Read Write Inc phonics. Key Stage 3 uses the Elements curriculum closely mapped to the national curriculum. Key Stage 4 focuses on English, maths, PE and Personal Development with RSE, plus Transition Passports. Pupils can access a wide range of qualifications in KS4 including English, maths, science, citizenship, arts, sport, animal care, vocational studies and music. Careers education embedded in PSHE; Gatsby Benchmarks; Baker Clause; employer encounters and Work Experience for KS4. Extra-curricular activities include art, music, sports, theatre trips, and farm experiences.
