St George's is a vibrant and friendly school that has been at the heart of the St George's Road community for over 140 years. We aim to make learning exciting and meaningful so that every child in our community has the opportunity to achieve their full potential.
Breakfast club runs daily from 8:00am for Reception to Year 6 and is free to all children. The gate opens at 8:45am each morning. Children are not supervised by school staff before 8:00am; they are the responsibility of parents. During breakfast club, activities are provided in the hall with a chill-out area.
SENDCo is Miss Vanessa Taylor. The school's SEND Local Offer provides information on services including education, health and social care. We identify children needing extra support early and set up individual programmes; support is provided in classroom, in small groups, and through 1-to-1 programmes. There is a small Nurture Group with a tailored curriculum for a group of pupils in the morning.
St George's Primary School's admissions policy and arrangements are in line with Hull City Council Local Authority policy. Nursery admits children from age three; all children are eligible for 15 hours free of charge; if you believe you may be eligible for 30 hours funding please ask for more at the school office. Nursery applications are available from the school office. Reception admissions for 202 (sic) 2024/25 must be submitted between 1 October 2024 and 15 January 2025; other admissions are handled through the local authority (Hull City Council).
