Jesmond Gardens Primary School uses delegated SEN funding to provide appropriate support for pupils with Special Educational Needs, including targeted Quality First teaching, rigorous assessment, whole‑school inclusive practice and initiatives, low pupil‑to‑teacher ratios, teaching assistants to support targeted interventions, the SENDCo role and Inclusion team, parent liaison and support, liaison with external agencies (including Educational Psychology and Speech Therapy), provision of ICT resources to support differentiation, and time to develop Individual Pupil Passports with pupils, parents and staff. The school may apply for Top Up funding from the Local Authority high needs budget for pupils with high needs, and uses Pupil Premium funding allocations to enhance SEND provision.
