Thank you for visiting Widcombe Infant School. We aim to provide high-quality education in a happy, secure, and stimulating environment, treating each child as an individual. The school is part of the Palladian Academy Trust with Widcombe CofE Junior School, and Ofsted has judged the school good with outstanding personal development. Headteacher: Alison Watts.

Curriculum Highlights

Reading is the ticket to success and the curriculum is designed to embed knowledge and develop reading decoding and comprehension. The curriculum is practical, hands-on, interactive, with a strong emphasis on outdoor learning and Forest School. A commitment to reading, vocabulary, and knowledge across the curriculum; trips and visiting artists/sports coaches to enrich learning. Development of learning skills and social skills; emphasis on creativity, arts education, and international education.
