St Philip's Catholic Primary School has a strong Catholic ethos with a faith-based curriculum. It emphasises Catholic life, prayer and liturgy, and a partnership with the Parish. In 2025 a Catholic Schools Inspectorate report described the school as a very good Catholic school with an outstanding Catholic life.
Principal C. Hinton welcomes visitors and highlights the school’s strong Catholic ethos, partnership with the Parish, and commitment to high-quality education and care. She emphasizes a family feel, positive relationships among staff, parents and pupils, and pride in the children’s achievements while inviting people to explore the site.

Wraparound Care offers Before School Care from 7:30 am to 8:40 am and After School Care from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm, with extended care options. Breakfast Club options include 7:30 am – 8:40 am (£5.00) and 8:00 am – 8:40 am (£3.00). After School Care options include 3:00 pm – 4:30 pm (£6.00), 3:00 pm – 5:30 pm (£9.00), and 3:00 pm – 6:00 pm (£10.00), plus an After Activity Club (4:15 pm – 6:00 pm) (£5.00). Late pickup fee is £1 per minute after 6:00 pm. The service supports Tax-Free Childcare and Universal Credit Childcare. Enrollment is via Registration Form or Arbor App, with payments through Arbor.

Nursery Admissions (Age 3) are made directly to the school via an online form; Nursery place does not guarantee a place in the main school. School dinners cost £2.40 per day.
