Admissions Criteria

Shireland Biomedical UTC has 120 Year 7 places for September 2026. Admissions are based on a nodal point system across six Sandwell towns. When applications exceed places, oversubscription criteria apply in the following order: EHCP named at Shireland Biomedical UTC; Looked After Children and Previously Looked After Children; Siblings; Nodal Point Allocation. There are up to 20 places per nodal point, allocated by distance to the nearest nodal point. Application deadline via Local Authority: 31 October 2025. National Offer Day: 2 March 2026.
