Head Teacher's Message

Miss L. Furness, Headteacher, states a commitment to securing positive mental health and wellbeing for the whole school community. The school supports pupils with two Emotional Literacy Support Assistants and commissions ABC Counselling (including play therapy, CBT and counselling). The school uses myHappymind to teach brain science, self-regulation and resilience, and provides home resources via myHappymind for families.

All applications for a place in Reception to Year 6 must be made through the Hartlepool Borough Council Admissions Team. To apply online, go to Hartlepool Borough Council’s online admissions page and follow the simple steps; paper applications can be downloaded from the site or the School Admissions Team can be contacted at 01429 523765. West View Primary School also provides admissions policies for 2025-26 and 2026-27 and offers 2-year old provision and Nursery with 30 hours free Nursery entitlement. Nursery/2-year-old provision inquiries can be directed through the school.
