SEND Provision

Bridgewater High School provides a Designated ASD Provision for autistic pupils (11-16). The Provision is described as a discrete provision within a mainstream school with staffing including a SENDCO, a designated teacher, and teaching assistants, offering small group and individual teaching, social skills groups, Speech and Language support where appropriate, access to the full curriculum, and pastoral and emotional support; as of the current review period, 25 places are offered.

Admissions Criteria

Bridgewater High School is a founder member of The Challenge Academy Trust (TCAT), which is the admissions authority for its member academies. Warrington Borough Council administers the admissions process for current year 6 pupils wishing to join in 2026-27. Online admissions guidance is available through Warrington Borough Council, and the school provides a Prospectus. Admission Arrangements are published for 2025-26 and 2026-27.
