Clubs
Breakfast Club runs from 8:00am with a selection of breakfast choices available at a cost of £2. Some after school clubs are available to all ages and others are specific to year groups.
Penbridge School provides SEND support through differentiated teaching, small-group and one-to-one interventions, and planned interventions monitored via provision maps and Pupil Progress Meetings. If needed, the SENCo may refer to outside agencies such as Speech and Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Educational Psychology Service, CAMHS (Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service), MABS, EMAS, Barnardos, and Portsmouth SEN Support Service. An Education, Health and Care (EHC) plan may be applied for and reviewed annually. The Inclusion Team includes a designated SENCo, Attendance & Behaviour Manager, Wellbeing Officers, an ELSA, a School Counsellor, and other support staff. Health care plans and medical protocols are in place; medicines can be administered with proper procedures; staff are first aid trained.
Admissions forms are issued by the Portsmouth Local Authority. Infant and Junior admissions policies are provided by the Local Authority (Infants policy at portsmouth.gov.uk; Juniors admissions policy). Transfers from Infant to Junior are arranged as needed. Admissions arrangements and policies for 2024-25, 2025-26, and 2026-27 are available online or via the Admissions Team (023 9268 8008). Visits to the school are welcomed; applications are handled through the Local Authority and school offices.
